E-commerce and Gaming
In recent years the Isle of Man Government has actively encouraged and nurtured e-commerce and gaming which has led to the Island becoming one of the most dynamic and reputable jurisdictions in this sector.
The Isle Man Gambling and Supervision Commission is an independent corporate body first established in 1962 which has the responsibility for the Island's licensing regime, including regulation of terrestrial gambling and all on-line gambling.
This firm has previously had significant involvement in this practice area, which has included:-
- The flotation of the first Isle of Man betting company onto the AIM listing
- Review of legislation at the request of the Isle of Man Government
- Establishing the Association of Betting Office Licensees
- Representing clients in their dealings with their licensing application to the Commission and ongoing issues
